Reporting on a great finish to our year at our Workshops and AGM at the RED COW MORAN HOTEL 26th October.
We had 90 pre-registered and over 70 for a well-received buffet lunch with plenty of networking.
The event was opened by Sean Armstrong of the Dept of the Environment. The support from the various government departments is appreciated and we hope to build on this new level of communication.
Our ongoing plans are listed in bullet form to give you an idea of the goals the committee have agreed upon for 2017.

3: We intend to continue with our Technical briefings and CPDs for 2017 and the subject areas being planned include the following:
An overview on the use of social media for business, this will include an appreciation for business use of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and the use of complementary media such as video and Instagram.

5: As indicated at the AGM a number of committee and members have attended a preview of the new Deap4. There are mixed reports from those that attended, obviously a key factor is the strength of the Broadband network when it is finally introduced.

8: It is important that you inform us of the Training requirements you would like to see delivered in the new year, most Irish manufactures and some foreign suppliers have excellent training facilities in house, we are also aware of the need to travel out from the main centres and will deliver on that need, so let’s hear from you.
9: We are due to follow up on our meeting with the Dept. of Energy which was requested by Minister Naughton and are hoping to get a face to face meeting before Christmas.
